Annual Meeting – Author/Illustrator Patrick J Lynch – Field Guide to the CT River

March 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

The Old Saybrook Land Trust is proud to announce that renowned naturalist and author, Patrick J. Lynch, will be speaking at our Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 24th at 2:00 at the Vicky Duffy Pavilion in Old Saybrook.

Patrick will be speaking about the estuary portion of the Connecticut River and the region where the River meets the Sound. For a relatively small state, Connecticut is blessed with two of the nation’s largest and most biologically significant estuaries, places where salty ocean water mixes with freshwater. ¬†Patrick will discuss this and will also point to some of the glories of our local shore and river wildlife, as well as the likely impact of human activity and climate change on the Sound and the River.

Patrick will have copies of his newly published book A Field Guide to the Connecticut River From New Hampshire to Long Island Sound, available for purchase and signing, as well as some of his previous books such as A Field Guide to Long Island Sound.

The meeting is open to the public and we invite anyone with an interest in the OSLT or in our beautiful Connecticut River Estuary to come by. For more information contact oldsaybrooklandtrust@oslt.org.
